Default How can the habbo players make habbo a better and safer more fun place for children?

No matter what, people who are under 13 will go on habbo and it is horrible to see them getting bullied, some of them even get abuse about their age. Even the ones who are 13 and older get picked on for that... also, there is so much abuse going on, players ganging up on a user who is new and that user expressing that they are upset, it is vile! The habbo users need to do something about this I think... I try my hardest but I am only one person lol... any ideas? Some of my ideas are making games that are easy and teaching new players how to play them, adding them to my list and guiding them even after I have completed their help request through the helpers tool

This isn't play school, one person saying something won't change the future of someones online life. if anything is to change its how Sulake treat the situation.

No but a child of 8 years old could be upset by the things some people on habbo say to them, the habbo players can make a difference and make the new players have a positive experience on the internet
Also, some people do say some sick stuff on there, it is not good for a young person to see those things, they may never have experienced people saying some of the type of things and it can have an effect on them, it has been proven!

Frankly I don't think it is the players fault if the kid gets upset. There are more then enough ways to ignore/mute someone. Its simple, someones being a bully, mute and report them. Any where you go you will see bullies so its not like Habbo is the only place with them . Also this rises the question of why should anyone younger then 13 be on a teeenager game site?

By making any who wants to go on habbo visit their local police station with their passport and get a certificate saying they're neither below 13 nor above 20.

They can then enter a code from the certificate and they will be e-mailed an adress and they then post a photo-copy of the certificate (which they'll acquire at the police statoin) to Sulake who will then allow them an account.

    Sorted.

Just because one, or even a whole forum-full of people decide to be nice (which i think we are, for the most part), won't stop a few people from bullying. Even new people can come and bully, but it's the victim's responsibility to report and pursue it. Yeah, Sulake should do more about these reports, but if they don't report it nothing will ever happen for DEFINITE. They've got a mute/ignore button - if someone doesn't like what someone else is saying, they can ignore them.

So you're proposing the same idea for facebook, twitter, ebay, youtube etc? I think the police have got better things to do with their time... there's billions and billions of age restricted accounts on the internet!! Bit extreme.

(and by extreme I mean ridiculous)

lol what? Completely unneeded I'm 18 and dont have a passport but I should still be able to play.

A new user can ignore the bullies and no one cut me a break when I began but then again no one bullied me. On my newer accounts I haven't been bullied eiither so I don't think you can monitor it.

Being an extremist doesn't mean you have the right to be ridiculous...

Hmmmm I am sure a few users can make a difference though, it really is horrible to see a young child who is obviously not as old as they say they are getting ripped to pieces, a lot of them cant separate it from real life and could be upset, their parents shouldnt let them on habbo in the first place but that is another story. I have seen so many new players that have done nothing wrong and people who claim to be 16 to 21 bully them, it is very strange and weird... but yeah I really think that the habbo users can make a difference to the online experience of these new players and make it more positive, I am looking for ideas
