Erm when I do enlargements I usually just look at the hair for advice, I often see where the shading changes and then use my own interpretation on it. I got told not to just double it when doing an enlargement, I created a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HTLTm4ip6o although that's one of my first ones where I doubled it could help a bit.

I think just making sure that it actually works and looks similar to the Habbo you're using (whilst putting your spin on it) will help you .

Remember to clean up the lines afterwards otherwise you run the risk of it looking jagged. taken the liberty of highlighting the issues for you:

See what I mean? Much cleaner.

Looking good so far though, try shading a little more on the chin to soften it a bit, perhaps?

For the hair you should start with blobs of each colour wherever they are on the original image and then refine from there.
