Absolute nonsense article, all fashion houses have ups and downs. Versace is famous for adopting a "face" to represent them contractually - and it was actually January Jones who was the face of Versace when they became more profitable again. Lady Gaga's time contracted with them was when the House was already doing well in 2011, while their bankruptcy worries were way back in 2004.

Celebrity endorsement alone is not enough to kickstart a comeback for a fashion house, oddly enough it's the fashion that matters more, who'd guess it? It also probably helped in terms of profit that Donatella started doing work with H&M, bringing in money from high street shoppers rather than just those who could afford the higher-end lines.
