In the past week or so any time I eat white bread I get terrible heartburn. It's weird because I've been eating white bread my entire life and my body only seems to be telling me now that the bread doesn't digest well by giving me heartburns.

Has something like this ever happened to you? For a good 19 years I've been eating white bread so I don't understand why it's only effecting me now.

Also, how can I determine what ingredient is actually giving me the heartburn? I've tried different brands but it still seems to effect me. I could easily just eat brown bread but I'd rather know what my body likes and dislikes for future sake and besides eating brown bread on the daily basis would have me getting sick out of my arse.

Usually heartburn is when you eat too fast/too much, I've never seen it as a manifestation of an allergy before. Do you get any rashes/redness/swelling/shortness of breath?

you might have an intolerance to gluten, which basically means starchy foods, which means basically everything nice lol. you should ask your doctor about it because if you do you'd probably have to cut them out completely or reduce the amount of carbohydrates you eat

try eat a banana after bread, that usually stops heartburn in general for me

I eat the same amount / speed as I did in the past and no symptoms like them

Don't even go there..... I'll just have to eat as I do but drink a bottle of gaviscon a day and is there no other way I could find out without going to the doctor, if I'm honest my doctor is useless the majority of the time.

Never thought of eating bananas, people normally say milk but apparently that's worse!!

These heartburns only started in the last week or two I get them like everyday so it probably is gluten its strange how its only kicked in now though

im not a doctor so it might be something completely different lol, but the only way you could see for yourself would probably be to cut out any gluten from your diet and see if you still get the problems i guess lol?

Heartburn/indigestion is common if you have an allergy
