Default Any of you good with making internetty things happen?

Sooooooooo basically for no reason whatsoever the wireless on my bedroom PC is no longer working. It sees the wireless network in the connection list thingy but when I click to connect it has a dialogue box come up saying it's connecting then just disappears after a while, and there's no sign from the little icon in the bottom right that it's actually trying to connect at all.

It can connect to other networks so it's not the wireless card that's gone, and all other devices seem to connect to ours fine (even added a new connection through my phone just to check, no problems there) so it doesn't seem to be the router/hub that's the problem either. Have reset everything multiple times to factory settings and whatnot, tried forcing it to connect by putting in my own IP settings and stuff, but still no luck. Virgin Media helpline was as useless as ever just telling me to do things I've already done, just wondering if any of you chaps have any further suggestions before I take an axe to it. I did set up my mobile as a dialup modem last night just so I could get on for a bit but the data charges are going to send me bankrupt if I keep using that

Tried that to no avail (although it handily got rid of a bit of crap on the system anyway ), have found a solution now in that I've just set up a guest network with the exact same settings and am running through that, god knows what the main one's playing at though, discrimination

Cheeeeeeeers anyway have some green dots
