I'll be able to download it via Technet on the 15th but I see no reason to install it over Windows 7 as my primary OS. I'll most likely just keep it in a VM for if I want to do any testing.

Does Dreamspark (MSDNAA) fall under the 15th category?

No idea tbh since it is no longer called a MSDN subscription but a Dreamspark Premium subscription.

I really want to get Windows 8 on the bootcamp partition on the MacBook. I can survive using OS X with my trackpad, but I suffer on Windows 7 with it and I know Windows 8 has great trackpad support (and I'm hoping it has smooth scrolling!)

Looks like either Metro has been just a code name or Microsoft is claiming this because it's having to change the name due to legal issues. I quite liked the name to. Nice and simple.

It's down to potential legal issues that could probably rise if they don't change it now.

Some German company owns the rights to "Metro" I think.

If so why wasn't this checked. Seems a bit strange it's only happened close to launch.
