I had an Arnova 8G2.
The charger port fell off...
I loved it, had it rooted, custom version of android on, I was cheap, and that was obvious from the build quality, a lot of cheap plastic.
The reason the charger port broke was poor design on the hardware, and then house it sat in the case, I've tore it apart to use the screen with my RaspberryPi.
If you do get it, I cannot recommend this site enough for Arnova tablets; http://www.arctablet.com/ always has updates, first page 10G2 Running 4.0.4!

Why does he have to use two fingers to click stuff
"This is because our port of the touchscreen driver is a bit broken, working on fixing that."http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featur...irmware-alpha/

No file as of yet, but still, it shows that there is a community behind theses devices.
Its pretty easy to be honest, have you done anything with Android before?
Once you have the drivers, its a case of getting the device into recovery mode, plugging it in to USB, and running some software n the PC to push over the new firmware.
