    It's called electronic interference.

    I've experienced this in some way or another on every laptop I've used.

    Whenever the system is put under load, components give off interference which is picked up by the sound card.

    I mostly notice it when I'm scrolling up and down a webpage.

    Its worst with spotify but happens a little bit with youtube too

    when i get this it usually fixes itself, probably cos i'm doing too many things at once! bit annoying but i don't think there's much you can do :S
