Hiya,

Wanted a separate thread from the main feedback of HxL as it diverted from a lot of healthy discussion. Not picking on anyone, but why was the poll only open for 30/40 mins?

In the past if I remember, we would have finalist clips uploaded on the site and a poll opened for a week or so. I remember this happened way back in Mizki's time of hosting it.

I was so waiting for this thread.

The final did seem very rushed tbh. The opening of the poll 45 mins before the show was a bit silly (I mean, there are AU/NZ people asleep atm...) and I would have preferred it the entrants had to submit 2 songs so we could all hear different ones in the final 10 and then made our vote.

The fact everyone could view the poll results didn't help either.

Last year it was only open about an hour, but then again there was less people in the final. I was at work when the voting and such started and then the final and although it's peak time not everyone would be on then. It's unfair if they couldn't vote, really think this hasn't been the best. The voting closed days ago and we heard nothing, mistakes were made and more planning was needed!

TBH HabboxStarz should never have been merged with HxSS, people voted tactically to gain team points rather than for who they thought was actually the best.

Why open a poll for like a week that gets a substantial amount of votes and then open a new one for half an hour when barely anybody is actually online?? :S WHO ORGANISED THIS, I WANT THEM SHOT.

I agree with @Intersocial; for once, don't think you should be able to see poll results, I mean @BOOMitsGINA; was it said tune in to find out who made the final 10 when many knew due to the poll?

I was under the impression the poll was going to close tomorrow as that's what it said. Nevertheless wd @EricYong!; & @hothot2k7;

Ngl but it does seem tactical who people voted for, either that or those who voted previously some were probably not online. The amount of stick hothot got from the first hearing the other day was shocking and then he goes onto do that? Shows how surprising the show is really.

Before I went away I suggested the following structure to Ollz and BOOMitsGINA:

19th August: play 25 clips (chosen by you) just in case you get like 50 entries, you're not going to have enough time to play them all. Voting opens at end of the show.
20th August: Voting closes 15 minutes into the show. You announce the 6 people who are through to the final - in no particular order (do not release the results of the poll)
21st August: Voting closes at half past. Dramatic build up announce 3rd place, 2nd place, 1st place.

I'm not completely sure why, but the show was postponed and then re-arranged and then the shows planned for the 20th and 21st were hosted in a double show tonight.

The first show was postponed due to not enought entries I believe, the deadline was increased and then mistakes occurred. The poll wasn't up until the day after was it? However, they needed the clips which shouldn't have been hard due to Gina having them. Not sure about the others.

@EricYong!; started saying that people felt he didn't deserve it and that it was unfair. To those people, **** off. I think Yet and Eric definitely deserved first and second (Richie's was just hilarious and Eric sang Starships brilliantly as I said in a spam thread a while ago) but I thought someone else could have got 3rd, NO OFFENSE.

If there was tactical voting going on to get points, then people really need to get a grip.
