Default Why is everyone so obsessed with this new 'Hiya (username)!' ?

What's with all the hype about this new 'Hiya (username)!' thing? Everywhere I go there is either people using it
or rooms dedicated to it, I really think it's all just pointless as it's just someone saying everyone's name, but other people seem to think it's really amazing. What do you guys think of it?

i can't see why people would want to use it randomly but i guess if you use it as the name of the room it would attract people to it. if the user see's their name on someone else's room then the chances are they'll click on the room

some people are using it just to say hi to people a little quicker, although it's just annoying and lazy. i guess people think they're cool because they know how to do it and stuff, like yeah. doesn't interest me though, it's not too great.

If you didn't know, you can use it it to say absolutely anything that is in the client. Like furni descriptions etc. All you need is the name of them.

Well that's not going to be useful for some Habbo games then is it. Besides, it doesn't take that much extra effort to type things out...

I think it will die down like a lot of new things on Habbo do. That's if it doesn't get taken away first.

Whenever people use it I always say like: "oh hey!" and then realise they weren't aiming it at me, makes me feel silly.

    Check out our fabulous wiki!!!

What annoys me more is the fact we have about 5 threads about this and no one can search just to check.

It's just a small thing Habbo have more important things to do.

Its been possible for ages, as you used to be able to avoid the filter by doing ${****} etc. But recently somebody discovered that you can also use the dynamic texts to say various client data, so they've just been spamming the hell out of it.
