Notifications

Hey,
I'm not sure if it'd be possible or if it'd be used but I think it'd be pretty useful to have notifications on the forum just before/ when an event is about to happen. I understand a lot of people dislike notifications so maybe you could add something like a 'subscribe' button or something along those lines. Events are posted in the community notice board but most of the time I just ignore it or just don't notice it, I'm constantly refreshing the forum for new threads so if I was to get a notification it'd be more direct and I wouldn't exactly miss it Just a suggestion, I'd imagine there's some sort of vbulltin plugin for this.

You can subscribe to threads and forums. Which gives you some sort of notification If I remember correctly.

I got it, I think it's only updates through email though what does updates through panel mean?

Means through the User CP.

Had a look around which would give a notification like the mentions or reputation comments. There's one for threads but not actual forums itself.

Yeh that's why I edited my original post when there are general notifications. I remember having them piled up daily a while back and I was too lazy to click the cross .
