XBOX or PS3

I've decided to buy myself a console to keep me away from sniffing/drinking/smoking my well earned money away!

What's best XBOX or PS3?

There really isn't that much difference between the two. PS3 offers free online play though so thats always a plus if you're not wanting to pay the £40 per year for xboxlive.

Yeah, I'm not an Xbox person but I don't have any to judge. I've played on my boyfriends Xbox and I know there are a lot of better games for it. Like others have said it depends on what your friends have, what games you enjoy etc.

i've had both consoles and would choose an xbox over a ps3 anyday.

but yh it all depends on what you're looking for. if you're looking for online gaming then i'd choose the xbox. although it's free for the ps3, i find xbox live a lot better and worth the money you pay for membership. i find it much easier to use too. the whole chat system and dashboard on the xbox is brilliant imo.

I've got three 360's compared to just one PS3 in the house, so obviously 360 > PS3.

Xbox without a doubt. Many of my friends were pro-Playstation for years. Then when they finally bought an Xbox, they admitted it was better.

I seem to be the one who speaks sense.

It really depends what your friends have and what type of games they have.

If they have HALO, they obviously get a XBOX 360.

But if you want to play online without spending money, I would choose the PS3. I have a PS3 and I rarely ever play a XBOX so I would chose PS3.
