    Default New York & Washington.

My school does this trip every two years to New York & Washington for History and Politics.

£750ish for about a week in sometime in February.

I've decided to go, but they'll only do it if enough are interested.

Just wondering have you ever been to New York or Washington? Whats It like?

I'll be going to JFK airport in november as I have to change over there when im coming home from orlando I've not been New York but i would say its worth it as my school did it on my last year of school (3yrs ago (near enough 4)) and they said it was an great and anyone should go. They apparently went to see lady liberty (my name for her) and go into this giant toy shop . I would of gone but i couldn't afford it.

    I live there. Love it.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

We visited NYC in October 2002, just a year after the 9/11 attacks. The city is packed with things to do and places to see, and I'd really like to go again in the future. Remember to take plenty of money! If you have any more specific questions then that would probably be better... there's just too much to say about the place!

We've only ever been to Washington airport on a connecting flight so I'm not sure what it's like to visit. It is somewhere I'd like to go though!

I personally haven't been, but our school did 2 trips (year 10 and 11) for New York. They weren't for a specific subject, just recreational. I was friends with quite a few people who went and they said they absolutely loved it - most of the ones who went in year 10 went again in year 11. So from what I've heard NY is quite a good place to visit .

    Haha, It sounds great.

I remember my history teacher saying a while back that the last time they went they got stopped at the airport for a few hours because in security because a student had an islamic name but they said it was down to 'spot checks'

Airport security would probably be the most nightmareish thing if you went there . Much stricter in places like the US, so try not to get a beep when you walk through the scanner if you do go LOL.
