    Default Passwording Documents

    Hellooooo,
I'm wondering if there's any way to put a password on a notepad file or anything like that?

    Thanks!

Yeah, I've been having a look around but the best thing I can find is setting it as a "Hidden" file... but that's not very secure at all. Can't find anything about setting a password.

You will have to get a program to do that for you unfortunately, you could always disguise it as something else though, something nobody will click on, The IE logo for example then name it Internet Explorer?

This kind of practise is only appropriate if the data you're hiding is already secure.

One thing you could try is encrypting the text with a symmetric key before putting it in the text file.

Are you still able to edit the document after it's been archived?

That's a pretty good idea, although it's still not really secure enough!

Would that do the trick? How would I go about trying that?
