So I've just ordered my Roxio game capture and all the cables off Amazon and I've been wondering how people such as TheSyndicateProject and Ksiolajidebt make money off the videos without getting flagged for copyright reasons? Thank you for any feedback given.

You shouldn't have an issue that much with gaming videos.

Would it be worth e-mailing youtube/game publishers asking permission or whatever?

They would probably ignore your email, or just not read it properly. If anything you are promoting there game :-)

I don't think it's that much of a problem these days, but if you're ever submitting an application to YT for revenue sharing etc. you should tell them the videos are for 'educational purposes', which usually gets around copyright.

I think to make money from videos with copyrighted content, you need to be partnered with a company like Machinima or Curse

    or youtube themselves.

most people nowadays dont see it as a problem because you're promoting their music

don't think it would matter so much with gaming videos, mainly music they take off but if you're adding music to something i would lower/higher the pitch of the song with audacity so it doesn't get taken down for copyright.
