Default Perks of a bought minecraft server?

Is there any better perks of buying a minecraft server instead of just hosting one on your computer?

    it's always up if it's a 24/7 server
it wont eat your upload speeds
you wont lag (depends what it's like when you're hosting)
your friends can play on it when you're not on it (unless you leave your computer on)
easier to just hop in and play than set it all up everytime you want to play

    i guess

Don't buy the managed hosting, it seems like a good deal but imo would get annoying, the ones I looked at at least. I host on a dedi now. Hosting on your own pc will most likely be unplayable for other people.

I have my own minecraft server. I host it with someone and it's only a few quid a month and it holds 32 players. It's not really expensive in my opinion because i have a job. I think it's £16 a month, it can hold 32 people, no lag at all, even when it's full. And can sustain large world edits (if you know what that means).
