So I need an external HDD for backups and media storage really. I've got about 300GB of data on my rig that needs backing up (currently backed up to an extra HDD in there, one ripped from a Sky+HD box so don't know how long it will last), plus I want to store video on there too (my idea is to put the data on the 2 HDDs in my rig and then back up data to the external HDD.
I need a drive that's USB 3.0, reliable, not fussed if it has a power supply or not, and at least 1TB, and preferably sub £80. I'm planning on using this as my backup solution and one of my backups while at university next year so reliability is key above all. Can buy from Ebuyer, Scan or Amazon. Any suggestions?
