Graphics card settings

I'm not sure how to explain this, but I'm using a projector for a flight simulator, and on the projection, random lines and 'blotches' keep appearing for a seconds when I'm moving fast, but it's only in random small places of the screen - is this something to do with settings of the graphics card?

I forgot to take a picture of when you could see it really bad, but you can kinda see it here near the clouds



I read somewhere about VSYNC?
