    Default Sleeping problems?

I really struggle to fall asleep. Even after laying in bed for hours i cant fall asleep.
I've always struggled with this but its never been this bad :s
For the past few weeks i've been going to bed at around 6am and waking up at 9am-10am.
I try to go to bed earlier but i just lay awake and unable to sleep.
The other day i managed to fall asleep at 10pm but i woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep for the rest of the night.
Seeing as school has just started, This is becoming a problem.
I was just wondering; Have you guys got any tips/tricks that could help me fall asleep?

What are you doing before going to bed? I often find when I'm on the computer right before going to bed I can't get to sleep for a while so not sure if you do the same or not.

I normally would of just done homework, had a bath or watched tv. I'm not sure why but i just cannot fall asleep.

I have this problem too, I will stay up all night awake because I can't sleep, and when I do fall asleep I will just wake up after a few hours and can't go back to sleep.

maybe you're just finding it hard to get back into the usual sleeping pattern for school seeing as schools just started and you've been staying up to crazy o'clock in the holidays? i know you did say you've struggled sleeping for a while, but if it's got worse just after a holiday maybe you could assume that you're just tryna get back into the old pattern. :-)

you might be going to bed with too much energy? have you tried exercising during the day, it might ware you out instead of just watching tv/going on computer. i am awful for trying to sleep and stuff and it's just bloody annoying, but normally put it down to not using enough energy during the day

Could be a problem with your mattress or pillows? Maybe look into replacing them.. also the bath idea does sound like a good idea, just avoid the laptop/computer before going to bed or drinking fizzy drinks/energy drinks which will have you buzzing basically.

Don't eat close to when you're going to bed, don't keep checking your phone / computer before you go to bed, do something with your days and ware yourself out, mae sure you're comfortable.
it can also help to move distractions from your room, the doctor told me this but if you sleep in the same room you watch TV then your body can get confused and think that your bed isn't where you go to sleep.
Try to make sure that your room is clean before you go to sleep ,i often find i cant sleep if i can see a bad mess.
try not to let yourself go to sleep at 6am it'd probably be better to deprive yourself until say 9pm or 10 pm the next night at least you'd be tired by the time you went to bed.
the only thing stronger than fear is hope
