Default When can you recycle an item?

How long do you have to own an item before you can recycle it? I'm sure I remember there was a time limit like 24/48 hours or something, because I just bought some furni but can't recycle any of it.

Oh nvm, dropping them and picking them up again somehow made them recyclable!

I didn't think dropping them and picking them up again worked? I tried it before as I remember buying a lot of Banzai Arena Tiles and it didn't work. Sometimes it works with logging out and logging back in if there's a period of time between the two .

Well I dropped one of the items to leave it in my room but then decided to pick it up and drop them in a different room, but then I realised dropping it made it recyclable . It worked for me, idk why it wouldn't work for you unless that item isn't recyclable? Although I'm sure the tiles are?
