Default Horse meat found in beef burgers in the UK + Ireland

Yup. Horse meat has been found in some beef burgers on sale from shops such as Tesco and Iceland in the UK and Ireland.

    See here:

What made me laugh was this quote:

"In Ireland, it is not in our culture to eat horsemeat and therefore, we do not expect to find it in a burger"
    #StoryOfMyLife

This reminds me of the frog found in Nando's, if anyone can remember that

Guys can we keep this thread free from horse-related puns and foal language, thanks.

I don't see what's gross about it There's nothing wrong with horse meat, even though it shouldn't have been in there.

and i'm sure there are a lot worse things in your food/products that you don't know about..............
but yeah obviously shouldnt have been there. i dont think its 'gross' tho but what can u expect, we have no idea where our food comes from or how it's made or WHO it's made by

After you use their bones to make glue you have to use the rest of the horse to make SOMETHING. May as well be burgers.

Thank god I don't shop at Tesco or Iceland Not that you'd notice anyway...

I wonder if Asda will include this in their advert, where they compare prices. I'd like to see them compare Horse DNA% now, with nice graphics of horses piling on top of each other, instead of baskets.
