    Default Piercings.

I have my belly button periced and I have a feeling it's started to grow out now.
Because if I bring it forward, I can see right through it.
I got it done for my 17th Birthday. I'm now 21.

I was wondering, do you have to wait until it's healed to get it repierced or can you without having to wait?

After that long the only reason it would grow out is if you're having a reaction to the jewellery (either because it's too big/heavy or a material that your body doesn't like) or an extremely drastic change in weight. If it's the former then you can probably slow or stop it by changing the jewellery, but if not then you're probably going to have to take it out. It can be repierced straight away technically since they'll either do it in a different place or just go through the scar tissue but it might depend on what your local piercer is comfortable with doing

Okay, Thanks a lot for that! I'll be changing my bar as soon as I'm home.

It's probably best if you go see a piercer. My girlfriend had a dermal for months that her body just started rejecting out of nowhere. She had to get it taken out. Better safe to check. They'll probably take a look for free.
