    Default Anxiety Problem

Recently been having chest pains, anxiety problems, got treated for gastric with medication and my chest pains gone, but any pain i feel, i feel like im dieing or gonna drop dead of a heart attack, dont really see myself making 2014...

called an ambulance twice thinking i was having a heart attack

Been reading online about anxiety, scares the hell out of me some posts ive read.

Anybody know if NHS can treat this??

Thinking you're going to drop dead from any kind of pain sounds less like anxiety to me and more like paranoia, but I'm not one to decide so don't take my word for it

However I think I should just say now: do not Google if you think you have an illness, or ignore it if you already have. I went on Google because I suffer from mild asthma and wanted to see if there were any tips to help my breathing through the winter months and was told by a site that I am probably suffering from lung cancer and could die at any minute.

I suggest you go and see your GP as he/she will be able to give you much better advice than anyone on this forum will be able to give or otherwise will refer you to a private clinic who specialises in what they think could be wrong with you.

NHS does deal with anxiety yes, although if they put you on meds you'll have to pay for the prescription (unless you're unemployed or something), but that's like £7 a month so it's not that bad financially. Definitely worth going to the doctor about as it will only get worse if you don't get to the bottom of it. NHS counselling/therapy is free but there's usually a pretty long wait to get into it because they're underfunded and understaffed

Agreed, to me it sounds like you've literally just went on the net and self diagnosed yourself without seeking any qualified medical advice? You haven't really mentioned a lot in your post which seems to point specifically to anxiety, just chest pains? Well chest pains could mean a variety of things. My best advise to you would be if you're concerned, go to your GP. You're not going to find the answer on a forum for teens or the net for that matter. On a brighter note, I hope you're okay.

Well I phoned an ambulance and twice they said it could be anxiety, I ended up going to hospital in the second ambulance, had a blood test and heart rate monitor, got told wasn't a heart attack and could be anxiety (heard that so many times now)

Anyway, was told by queens hospital that i'd have a 13hr waiting time to be seen... then I went walk-in centre and they've prescribed me gastric drugs.

Well if you've called an ambulance not once but twice before, personally I think this could be worth a thirteen hour wait. However if you'd rather not do that, go to your local Doctor and they will know what to do. They may even be able to diagnose you themself.

How long has it been going on for?

Everyones basically covered it. If you think you're gonna drop dead, don't sit on a forum telling us about it, go to the hospital. If there's really anything wrong with you the 13hour wait will be fine.
