Today it's my birthday and I use to love seeing the little cake icon that says happy birthday in the main page. It's a shame to see it gone since it gives you that special moment.

it went when they updated the /me page although it may be coming back soon.

as scotland said, it was removed when they changed the /me page. Along with that, new guestbook entries and new forum post alerts were removed too

Yeh the homepage basically got abandoned after they removed articles. I loved that too, I loved seeing it was my birthday when it wasn't because, well yeh lol.
