Silver Linings Playbook - DVD [UK Released 01/04/2013]

Went out and brought this yesterday, watched it in the afternoon. It's such a good film; seriously, I saw it at the cinema when it was out then, and loved it. I watched it again yesterday and aw, it's just so cute!

I may be a little biased as it has music from Jessie J in it, but still such a good film, and really does connect with the audience.

Features: Robert De Niro, Jennifer Laurence, Bradley Cooper.

A must see, if you haven't already!

Anyone seen it? Like it? Hate it? Don't care about it? Express your opinion below!

I think there's a few threads about it already. (Here and here)

The film does have a pretty good soundtrack, my favourite being Albama Shakes ~ Always Alright. It was in the scene where Pat goes for a run and goes to his old school. I think it's a really great song for that scene, it just seems positive and sounds nice.

I honestly do think, for Jen and Bradley, it was one of their best films (if not their best). The film is really incredible and I'm so in love with it. I got the DVD when it came out and I've watched it a few times again. It's just so perfect in many ways, and after reading into it, I've learnt the reason it was made, which made things even more incredible about the movie. I was also really touched how it's been able to help people through their own problems, which is lovely and even nicer with David O'Russell's reason to make the film.

@Chug!; what was your favourite scene? ^_^ & Have you read the book? If you haven't, I'd recommend it. Even though it's really different to the movie, it's still a good read.

    aw oops! MY BAD !

I love the film, don't even get me started Jen and Bradley are amazing, seriously - I agree, their best ! It gets so many people through problems and tbh it is so real. Yes, it has to be a little fictional - all films are ! But omg, it's just 3333333

@mcdonalds!; unfortunately I've not read the book But sure, i'll read it - I'd love to see how they both compare, and how the film is like the Book! Thanks for recommending!

IMO the film is better than books, but I'm probably gonna think that as 1. it's my favourite film 2. the actors in it are crazy and 3. i favour films over books (usually). There are a few scenes that I wish they'd added, but I won't give away anything as I don't wanna spoil the book. Enjoy the book!!!

Aww. I love this film too. Seriously, I went to see it in the cinema, and usually I never cry, ever; at films.

    I cried.

haha, it's such a cute story, so real, and tbh they are such a perfect couple, it's cute how the ending evolves and just awww
Love that they end up together, and that he doesn't remain self indulgent into Nikki (Ex Wife!). Tiffany (Jennifer Laurence) isn't really known for this type of film either, which i think helps to add to the mood of the film, making it extra special.

I don't know - I want the book NOW please.

Alternate ending of Silver Linings Playbook. I enjoyed it but I'm glad the movie ended the way it did, rather than with that ending.
@Chug!; not sure if you'd be interested in it

One of my favourite movies, did anyone else think Chris Tucker was a friend in his head? I somehow was thinking that before the end :S
