what do you think of The Host film?
I watched it yesterday. I thought it was alright. It took me a little while to get used to the voice inside of the head, but when I did get more comfortable with that, the film was much more enjoyable. There were some very boring bits but then again there were some good bits. Now I've watched it, I kind of wish I had waited until it came out on DVD.
I saw it yesterday, it was good and doesn't deserve the poor reviews it's been getting.
Many reviews I've read compare it to Twilight because it's by the same author and I think many reviewers rated it badly just because of this. And people have been saying things like 'I was gonna see that but then I saw who the author/producer was and decided no'. It's a shame because while it might not be the most fantastic movie in the world it definitely wasn't as bad as reviews have said it was.
And yeah I thought some of it was rushed and I think the book goes a lot more in depth. Like in the book people slowly warm up to Wanda but in the movie they kinda just hate her and then a couple of scenes later trust her completely. But for a film adaptation of a book I thought it stuck to the book really well. I can't think of much that they added in or even changed.
