Default Buying Apps with an iTunes Gift Card?

I've read that is possible, though I don't know how.

I've redeemed a code and have like £15 on the account, can I just buy a paid app and it will deduct it from that total or do I have to do something else?

    Thanks

Yeah. It will deduct it from your account.

Do you know how long it takes to deduct?

If I'm reading your post correctly, as soon as you purchase the item, credit for the app gets deducted from the total credit.

That's odd. Just purchased something for the rather large fee of 69p and I'm still at full credit. Dammit Apple Y U No Use Voucher Money?

Can't you select what payment method to use?

When you go on iTunes app, Features page and scroll down, same with App Store, that total takes a while to change.

Yeah it auto-deducts from credit on the account unless you change it I believe. It normally updates quite quickly for me but sometimes there is a short delay.

If the rats at Apple aren't working hard enough, payments take a while...
On serious notage, it should be instant.

Ok it turns out it just took a few hours to deduct. Many thanks all.
