Default opinions / morals that have changed...

    ... as you've gotten older.

everyone holds ridiculous, strong opinions about things whilst younger. we all look back on things we've said as young teens and cringe.

what strong opinions / morals did you hold whilst younger, and why did they change?

When I was like 12 I was a communist because it sounded cool but then I learned what it actually meant and thought it was rubbish

More recently I held what I thought to be feminist views but again it was learning about the reality of the situation that made me realise just how awful the movement and the majority of those within it are, so now I go with reality and logic and stats rather than buzzwords and dogma

Basically just always trying to learn more

Idrk I changed a fair bit so I don't really have any similar morals. Although I can't remember any of my old ones.... I'll just go with Tom's communist thing cause I was like that briefly when i was 13 or so.

I think my opinions of certain people has changed as I got older and that's made the way I view things change.
Marriage - I don't believe in happily ever after. I can't believe I ever did.
Love. I don't believe in it anymore.

aww shar that sounds so sad although don't think anyone truly believes in them til they've got them.

My morals have largely stayed the same. My attitude though used to be much different, I used to be really selfish but I grew out of it.

yh i agree with mike just cause others haven't had happily ever afters doesn't mean you can't & most people will have to go through heartbreak at some point and pick themselves back up. i didnt believe in it for so long cause of bad experiences but i do now

Thanks guys. I'll probably have a different opinion in 10 years time, or not. I guess I shouldn't say I don't believe in it just because it hasn't happened to me, if I had that attitude for everything that would be depressing

I think I'm the same as you Mike, my morals are the same more or less but my attitude has also changed.
