I played Tekkit which I believe FTB was like a remake of it?
Love the big mod packs. Makes Minecraft fun again...![]()
FTB is okay but I got completely burnt out on playing modded minecraft in the early days of tekkit. I do watch a bit of it on youtube & twitch but even that is losing it's value for me. I only play vanilla SMP now and that's generally what I like watching on youtube too.
If you want to get into FTB, the Mindcrack server/network's pack is a good place to start since it's not as overwhelming as some of the other versions.
Also the Mindcrack network is a good place to catch some tutorial videos on how to get the most out of the FTB experience.
Links to a few of the chaps from the Mindcrack server that do a lot of FTB.

I just find the FTB SMP so much more interesting. Having played minecraft since it came out all those years ago I just got bored of it.. However with FTB its like a whole new game with the same minecraft-y experienceFTB is okay but I got completely burnt out on playing modded minecraft in the early days of tekkit. I played tekkit for a while and tried to get my friends into it but i never did because it was sooo confusing.. FTB is the same as tekkit is it? I have watched a few videos of FTB but never really took notice![]()
Yeah, bees are pretty insane and it is good that they're always adding new stuff to the mods.I just find the FTB SMP so much more interesting. Apparently 1.5+ - 1.6 MC for FTB is supposed to be super stable so when that comes out I might give it a go again.
Also I just love the vast amount of blocks now... You can build much better things on FTB than vanilla.
Microblocks are awesome too![]()

I'm currently going through VintageBeef's FTB Let's play... I started a world a few weeks back but haven't played a lot recently because of exams. Tin is really annoying to get hold off, I never seem to have enough. And all I seem to be doing is creating more and more solar panels because I never have enough EU
Also watch Paul's FTB as well. Everyone elses FTB I haven't really watch much off. Would probably want to check Nebris' out at some point.

I'm pretty sure that FTB just has more mods than tekkit, but essentially, it's the same sort of thing, yes.

The server I play on has gregtech enabled so advanced solar panels were so hard to get hold of early on
Now that its been a few months I have loads of ultimates though so it gets better
And agreed on tin, I've just made bees which make tin so that should keep me stocked up

I watched beef's let's play too but I got bored after about 30 episodes of him just making the zoo non stop... Etho's let's play is much better IMO!

And I guess each person has their own taste, I love beef making the zooAnd I'm not really a Etho fan, despite the rest of the world being one it seems
