Stuff like this makes me super happy. I've watched one before of an older person finally being able to hear and her reaction was so amazing.

Oddly there are factions of the deaf community who've condemned these advancements as being some sort of attack on deaf people, but I can't personally understand how giving someone a better quality of life with no real infringement on anyone can be anything but a great thing. Some people just love complaining and playing victim I think

These videos give me a little hope in society, however; it's so damaged, it's hard to predict the future with new generations.

Hearing is something we all take for granted. Its crazy to even think of life without hearing.
On the same note, I spent a couple of ours blindfolded as part of a challenge and it is crazy hard to be, in effect, blind.
What these people must feel when they finally get the ability to hear or see, is just CRAZY.

Awww that is so sweet! We should be grateful for what we have and the medicines available to us.
