I've always been interested in the English language and when I was doing it for A Level I got told that Jamie Oliver was a 'mockney' it was more Essex and London rolled into one. Expanding on this I thought about other ways to speak in England, and one of the most notable ways I find is 'Cockney Rhyming Slang' where 'apple and pears' mean stairs and 'Barnet fair' means hair. With this in mind it gave me an idea for a competition. I would like you to post the weirdest version of a word/saying in cockney rhyming slang, you can even make your own up if you want; remember it doesn't have to rhyme as some of them don't!
