Peculiar Pets - Ends 17th July

After watching Top Gear, and hearing Jeremy Clarkson describe a car as 'As stupid and wonderful as owning a pet elephant.' and watching a documentary about people having the strangest animals for pets, e.g. a lion. It got me wondering about what sort of animals people would have as pets if they had the chance. Obviously, there are the 'classic' pets: cats, dogs, etc, but it would be interesting to see what people would have.

So, for this competition, I would like you to name the pet that you would have, if given the chance, and why.

The prize will go to the strangest or most imaginative - even make up an animal if you wish!

I would actually love a pet tiger. I would want it as a pup so I could train it as it gets older.
Ever since watching Jamanji when I was young and seeing the tiger in the bedroom when the house is being flooded out - I've always wanted a pet tiger. I would also name it Oddstripe as there stripes are oddly placed.

I want a pet liger which is a mix between a male lion and a female tiger 'cos i used to watch The Lion Man and he used to talk about different lions and tigers and I was so intrigued. So i want a liger cub so I can raise to be tamed like the ones in The Kingdom of Zion which was the zoo he owned and omg they were so cute and i'd name it Zeebee cos it's a cute name and my liger will be adorable x

A pet sloth, because although they are extremely vicious and slow, they're great.
