    Default Is Habbo now ungrateful?

The reason I post this is simply because I was a Habbo 10 years ago. I've taken to going online to do giveaways once in a while. Norms and Rares. I no longer play and the furni is just sitting there.

With norm giveaways it's always nice, mostly. With rare's it's all greed. DO YOU HAVE THIS? DO YOU HAVE THAT? No, only what is in the room. I may have some Rares they're asking about, but that's for another type of giveaway.

Why cant people be happy with this? Years ago people were happy to get an Iced corner. Not now though, they want Thrones and super rares for free. If someone gave something for free you were just happy it wasn't a scam.

It makes me not want to bother with giveaway's of any kind any more. I can't be bothered with the rude and ungrateful behaviour.

You have to remember the target audience Habbo/Sulake are marketing to. As someone in their 20s (cough), I can process the logic in what Habbo's doing and can smell it from a mile away; the more furni released, the more in demand something is, the more kids will want want want and need and horde then profit and so on. Habbo 10 years ago was run by a finnish company, i believe, and their goal was to make Habbo a social hangout with comps and fun here and there. Now everything's about furni. With that in mind, you're going to get a lot more people wanting more because Habbo's invested so much effort into brainwashing users into thinking the only way to have fun on Habbo is to own stuff.

ThisHabbo host fake givaways, fill their rooms with rares, and tell people to tune in to their mediocre radio station. Do they actually give anything away? No. That's what Habbo's turned into now.

If I ever went to a rare giveaway, I'd be happy with whatever I was given. It's just rude to ask for something that's like not on show when whatever you're getting is free anyway! I know what you mean, wouldn't make me want to give my stuff away. I'd give it to people you maybe still know on there!

I think it's rude when everyone discusses what the most expensive furni is in a giveaway, and then complains when someone in front of them takes it. And then they say things like 'OWNER DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE OF THOSE PUT THEM DOWN!!!" If you wanted that one shouldn't have been saying that you want it coz it's worth the most, and it's rude to ask the owner to put down something you want 'coz it's worth more'.

Sometimes people come into HxHD asking for furni and sometimes I'm like 'you know what yeah sure have this' and then they say 'oh you don't have anything worth more, you are HC....'

But you're always going to get ungrateful people.

Years ago I think people would of been happy with a norm giveaway but furni is easier to get in general now. I never really remember thrones being given away years ago and now they are easily attainable through casino lms for example.

The economy now is very different to what it was 10 years ago. Prior to exchange, furni had a lot more value because trade shops were so popular and people could trade that iced corned for a more desirable furni.

Now everything has such little monetary value and if it isn't a rare or worth a few credits (in this case the furni you use is worth less than 1c) then it has no value and hence it will be VERY undesirable.

I wouldn't say Habbos are ungrateful, I would say Sulake decided to vamp up their profits with exchange as they should to survive and this changed things in game.

Yeah, I hate that! And also when someone ends the giveaway/disconnects/something to do with not giving out free stuff, and people yell 'SCAM!'
So frustrating. I just wanna scruff their little pixel shirt and be like 'You're not being scammed, mate.' and give them a big pixel slap.

Or when someone else chooses what someone further in line wants. 'OMG I WANTED THAT.' 'THAT WAS MINE.'
    They get so agro!

People are actually SO rude. Especially when the person doesn't even have to give away their furni to them. -_-

I know what you mean, I walked into a giveaway room the other day and people were just being so greedy demanding things as it it was a shop. Every now and then the girl would drop a rare and everyone would just start screaming asking for more, better, rares which I thought was really rude.

Back in the day giveaways were much better, people didn't demand things or ask for something better they were happy with what they got. I remember one girl, BOLLITINA, who hosted giveaways every week and she had a room full of presents and you picked a colour and got what was inside, would be good if you could gift wrap existing items for giveaways as it would remove the greed and add an element of surprise.

I think it comes down to younger generation that uses Habbo now. They think its handed to them on a plate and aren't grateful for anything they get given. Also get really rude too.
