Default Lost Linguistics - Ends 17th August

Have you ever tried explaining an emotion or situation to someone and then realising there literally isn't an English word to describe it? In most occasions, the only thing you can either do is use an incredibly long sentence or go to another language to borrow words. For example, in Filipino the word "Gigil" is used to describe something so irresistibly cute that you just want to pinch it. Whereas on the flip side, "Backpfeifengesicht" is German meaning 'a face that wants to be slapped/punched'. One of my Habbo accounts actually uses a word like this, "Asolare" - it's an Italian word used to describe passing time in a delightful yet meaningless manner.

I want you to try and dig up some words we need to have in the English language system (if you're completely stuck simply search "words we don't have in English"). Post the foreign word alongside its definition and the funniest or most relatable entry will win!
