So after months of what could probably only be described by his family as hell - Michael Le Vell has been cleared of all charges including rape of a minor.

Granted to all who doubted him, he does look slightly noncish in this..

I kept on the fence with him as he didn't appear to publicly announce any stupid beliefs or ideas, unlike William Roach who believes rape victims deserved to be raped because they had bad karma in a previous life.

Good on him for being found innocent. It will be interesting to read the case in its entirety in due course (rather than rely on the watered down version the media will release, filled with bias or exaggerated claims).

I'm still in disbelief considering what we heard the young girl say what happened to her, this ruling means that that girl lied which is just shocking to me. Especially after what the judge said, I was surprised for this ruling.

But... good for him being acquitted and all

Unfortunately there are a minority of women who feel rape is a way of getting into the news, essentially ruining peoples careers for their own financial benefit. It's a shame for women who have been raped and not had justice done for them.

It's still a young girl though... I guess I'm far too........ I just don't think it's something that people would or should lie about, it's not exactly a joke now is it!

I see what you mean though, especially in such a high profile case. It was a massive headline grabber, the whole teddy bear angle...

Yeah, the teddy bear thing is a bit ridiculous, I mean if you were being raped would you really want to sensationalize it? You'd be traumatized... :S Young girls are capable of anything, gotta keep in mind this girl may have been from a dodgy background, a background where she didn't get much attention from parents and yknow, you just dunno how far that kind of person would go to get attention if they craved it.

It's not the sort of thing I want to think about at all, and I'd rather not speculate either way, not in a sensitive case like this. It's difficult.

Yeah it's horrible really, but there are those types of people out there no matter how much we wish there weren't.

Never once thought he would be convicted.

I'm confused, which side are you supporting exactly?
