Default Are the Galaxy S3/S4's good in rain?

My two year contract ends at the end of October so I am debating upgrading my Galaxy S2 for either a S3 or S4. I want to know if any of them are any good when used in rain because if my S2 gets a little bit of rain on it the screen stops working and I have to turn the screen off (not reboot) and back on again. I know they are not properly waterproof but wondered if they where better to use in rainfall.

    Thanks

I wouldn't personally use any sort of smartphone in the rain just in case to be honest.

This. You may want to wait for the Nexus 5 to be released as that's meant to be quite good and should be revealed in the next month.

What phone is good in the rain? If it gets water on the screen, and it's touch screen, it messes up when you type because the water makes it click other character when you click... unless galaxys dont, but i doubt it and also always a risk of it getting water damaged.

Surprisingly my iPhone still works in the rain , and once or twice last year I used it in heavy rain where the screen was literally covered in water and it still worked and works fine now. May have helped that I had a case on it, though.

    Not online very often

Still wouldn't do it even if it's tested. It's not sold as a product that can withstand water - It's not like that phone Sony have made where they advertise that it can withstand being in water for X amount of time. But ever since getting an iPhone, I make sure water stays well away from it. Especially the audio port as that's where Apple have their detection for water damage etc etc.
