Need a new tablet and I cannot chose between the nexus 7 or the Samsung note 8.... Anyone got either or can suggest which is better? I just generally use it for browsing the net, emails, calendar/schedules and streaming the odd video

Nexus 7 will be Google stock, instead of all the Samsung bloatware so I'd go for Nexus 7. You'll notice the difference!

Definitely Nexus 7, free google - no Samsung bloatware, overall better value.
