Default hiroshi yamauchi Nintendo Visionary dies

Just read on the BBC that Hiroshi Yamauchi, the man credited for turning Nintendo from a card company to a video game company has just died. Hiroshi Yamauchi was president of Nintendo during the NES, SNES, Nintendo 64 and the Gamecube.

I don't know loads about the guy or a lot about the history of the company, but I do know Nintendo has been a very important and influential video game company over its years which is a shame considering it is losing the console battle these days with lots wondering if it will eventually do a Sega and just develop games rather than hardware. I've actually recently bought an n64 after wishing I hadn't sold mine many years ago and have been having many nights of nostalgic fun and would love to see Nintendo create a new console that would please most gaming markers rather than just the casual markets. But anyways R.I.P

A sad day for the gaming industry. Personally the N64 was my favourite console of all time. They're built to last too.
