I AM SO EXCITED

Maleficent is such an underrated badass. She's, like, the only villain, Disney or non, to be evil simply for the sake of being evil. (I reckon the Joker, as well.) She just doesn't care, like, "Oh, you don't want me at your party? That's okay, I'll just curse your daughter to a terrible death instead."

And she's so elegant which makes her even more scary in my opinion. I absolutely love how she is both elegant and terrifying. More villains should be like that.

god angelina jolie looks good as maleficent, although i do think her skin could have been a little more on point (like kirst said), possibly paler if they didn't want to make her too green.

I don't think the three fairies/good witches are in this, so it may just follow a different story than the classic. Either or, who cares -- it's about Maleficent and she is amazing.
