Playstation 3 or 4?

Well, i have done this research:

That by april this year to christmas next year all types of playstations wil have to pay monthly also... Apperently playstation 3 players can not play people with playstation 4's... Does anyone have any thoughts? Which one to get the good and bad points?

however, it's still cheaper than xbox but that doesn't make it ok

ffs i'm going to have to shell out $50 a year for online, I don't like this 'cause over the 8 years of having a ps3 I would only pick it up to play online every few months

PS4, may as well stay updated. It's also not surprising you can't play with players on a different console...

Pretty sure the PS3 and maybe PS Vita will never require PS+.

If you want something cheap with lots of games already and have little to no intention to using online (as the lobbies will die out soon enough), then PS3.

If you want the next thing with plenty of future releases and a growing user base, then PS4.

Yeah it depends what you want. I have a ps3, got it last christmas (had a second had one but it broke). I probably will one day upgrade but not till its a lot cheaper as I find I do most of my gaming on my PC steam etc. although my pc is old now (saving up for a new one). I tend to use my ps3 more for on demand, blu-ray/dvd playback etc.

I think however depending on price and stuff I'd rather wait for the steam boxes.

It makes me laugh that you guys are considering dropping £400 on a console, but paying that extra £40 a year is unacceptable. PSN+ is a great service (and this is coming from someone with both Xboxs), I really wish Microsoft would start to copy them and offer games made in the last two years.

I have seen nothing to suggest Ps3/Vita will need + Subscriptions to go online.

And if you don't already have a PS+ Subscription then your an idiot. An amazing deal that eventually Microsoft copied for XBL. I've said before that if Nintendo was to do a similar deal and release more of there back catalogue they would make some $$$ i would even buy a Wii U.

Playstation 3 or 4? Get both. I've got a PS4 but i still have 50+ games i want to play on my Ps3 and with PS+ I'll still get free games for my PS3. Win Win. mate picked up a Ps3 for £100 and another mate is selling one for £150 with 10 games etc and the good thing they use the same cables so just unplug and replug which ever you want to play.
