Default [+rep] How do I remove bettersmurf ads?

How on earth do I get rid of these bettersmurf ads? I have looked everywhere. On google, the only answers they're really saying are 'Go to Chrome://extentions and remove it from there' -> but I don't have it in there. Another answer I got was 'Go to programs (x86) or whatever its called and delete the Bettersmurf folders from in there, which I have done, but they are still on my computer. Most of the screenies are where it's on habboxforum, but it's on pretty much every site. Youtube, google, habbo, habbox, everything. It's driving me insane

Edit: And it keeps bringing popups whenever I click things. It's so annoying!

If you click on the ad itself, it will take you to the page where you can unsubscribe from ads or turn them off. If you see a little cog or a question mark icon also, click that. Hope I helped!

Looks like you accidentally installed a naughty little add-on/bit of adware there... check to see if it can simply be uninstalled via the programs list, and if not I'd do a malware (adware) scan.

not really necessary, that should be a last resort.

Run your antivirus program and start a scan, then if this does not help, download a free malware scanner and run it, if the previous didn't work this should, if it is in your extensions on chrome, maybe reinstall chrome? Not sure if that would work though.

A lot of people say if you get a virus of any sort than you probably should no longer trust that installation of the operating system. Hence what Chippiewill was saying.

as @xxMATTGxx; said, you can't trust that OS install anymore, there could be any number of other changes it's made.

    Reinstall Windows.
