Moro G or HTC Desire 300

Going to get a new phone on contract, and I've been given the choice out of these two phones. Which one would you say and why? Cheers

Moto G is pretty highly regarded for a cheap smartphone. Other than that I have no clue, sorry.

Thanks for your help, and I decided to go for the Motorola Moto G purely because of the much higher and better reviews it recieved compared to the HTC Desire 300.
