Over in Berkshire Prince William approaches journalists from the Guardian and says:

“Why don’t you put your notebook down and give us a hand with the sandbags?”

I didn't know the royals were helping out with the flood effort.. i've seen Prince Charles there but that's it. Very good.

Apparently another 1,000 homes are expected to go under over the next week.... it's appears much worse than a normal flood because the water is just sitting there and has been there for weeks. Anybody on here affected by it?

Where I live never gets affected as I'm on the hill part of my village, but trying to get in and out is sometimes a nightmare as the roads get flooded awfully. The villages closest to us though have an awfullllll lot of flooded fields and have been like that for weeks. Just glad I live in Wiltshire and not Somerset right now

Dan your sig is bigger than the sun but nah no proper flooding here we got puddles but the South Downs save us from anything terrible. Been some weird half-sleet in amongst it today though def not going outside until I have to
