    Default The Act of Killing

Has anyone seen the Act of Killing documentary that aired on Sky Atlantic. It's available on demand on certain packages.

I watched it the other night and found it a very strange depressing but moving documentary that some might find hard to stomach.

It focuses on the Indonesian killings of 1965–1966 where a big Communist purge occurred when local militia and gangsters took over the country. The documentary interviews some former members of death death squads, as they talk about what they do and reenact their past in a film. It feels very surreal seeing these killers talk and even boast about past events, including a tv show openly talking and celebrating the same events. It's something that will stay with me
