I disagree. I didn't go to any of those universities and got both (of two jobs) I applied for after I finished my degree.

Different universities specialise in different subjects too.

How is that not true? There are some scummy jobs out there but somebody has to do them. If you're out there, earning your own money, nobody should be able to stick their nose up at you.

I saw Irish travellers taking the mickey out of a woman who was doing cleaning in McDonalds, not the best job in the world by a long mile, but she doesn't deserve to have people be rude to her, when I also see people sitting around drinking all day every day that are clearly on some sort of benefit and never seem to be anywhere else.

irreverent. educated people (who go to the above universities) dont end up working in McDonalds.

From what I've read, UCL has gone down a bit, but for a fair few subjects it's still a good place to study. Personally I think University of Liverpool should be up there, it's got a lot of state of the art science labs etc and has great programmes.
