Thinking of getting a snake

lit have no idea where to post this as there isnt rly a forum bout animals

but im thinking of buying either a baby corn snake or baby ball python, idk reptiles fascinate me and ive heard those are good beginner snakes.

anywho ive heard either a glass tank or snake racks/tubs are very common and size wize id prefer a snake rack cuz i have lots of tubs that im not using. but how would i heat the tub?? like i have sumthin similar to this

but yh thats my main concern as i have no idea how to heat it :S and does anyone have tips for a snake beginner? thanks

If you've never owned a snake then definitely go for a corn snake. They're extremely easy to care for and they are so adaptable to different environments. Get a decent heat, a water bath and a hiding spot, and they'll be a great pet.

I'd buy a tank rather than use a snake rack but I don't think it makes a huuuuge difference.

Well I mean obviously she doesn't want to get like a 6 foot python or something lol.....

Snakes like corn snakes are usually very docile and aren't scary at all. I've never been bitten by one, they're unlikely to bite you.

Avoid playing with them a few days prior and after feeding though ;-)

If you want a beginner pet, it's because you haven't owned that type of animal before and so for your first try you want a relatively easy to care for snake that is unlikely to bite you

Definitely buy a tank, they're much more attractive and you can so much more with them Corn snakes are the best, but both are fine - it just depends on your preference. @Storking's advice is very good - a water bath and a good hiding place for it are important.

Half the fun with reptiles or any tank pets is making a good habitat, so you will have fun doing that and making it happy.
