    Default your worst social habit

    what's your worst social habit

was thinking this today, i actually think about it so much because mine happens to me EVERY SINGLE DAY.

when people say 'how are you' i always always always reply 'good thanks'

and never ask them how they are, it completely messes up the flow and sometimes they ask again or they just say good and nobody knows what to say oh god it's terrible

have to try stop myself with that one

I always say good thanks automatically without thinking about it and just kill the conversation like that sometimes

lol I do that a lot too but I wouldn't say it's a bad habit, I just like to end the conversation before it begins with somebody I don't like. If somebody I am actually interested in listening to asks how I am then I will ask how they are, if I don't feel like talking I'll just say good and carry on my merry way. Mostly manifests as them: "Alright?" me: "Alright." *walks off* lol. You know what else is really annoying though? When they do it WHEN THEY'RE WALKING PAST ME. I AM WALKING TO MY DESTINATION DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS AND MAKE ME STOP TO TALK TO YOU.

mine is probably not doing menial socialisation enough. just sitting around and talking when there are a lot of people about and stuff... much prefer my own company. I'm just an unsociable git lately I guess. oops

Ha I do that when I bump into people in the streets. If I know that they haven't seen me I try and walk the opposite direction or something. Especially when I'm in the shopping centre and I see people that I know and really don't want to talk to. I am awful. I hate small talk though.

When i visit a friend of mine at his/her house, i always end up saying "no, thank you" whenever they offering me a drink or a meal. I know they're trying to be nice and all, make the guest feels comfortable at their place. Should have responded "yes, please", because i always end up joining them having a drink or two.

mine is the same as most people's here! "alright?" "yeaaah". I never ask people how they are back. :rolleyes_

and a lot of the times when someone tells me a specific detail of their life (and I really couldn't care less), I end up not knowing what to say so I just "oh yeaa?" or "coooooool". they're probably trying to start a good conversation but I don't care if your great aunty has just bought a dog and it is cute orrrr if you've just put a deposit on a house. What am I meant to say to that!!

Yeh it's standard at work. "You Alright?", "Yes thanks are you?", "Yes thank you".. I hate that
