    Default URGENT PASSPORT HELP

Okay so I need to know something quick, and Google is being a ****

So I NEED to fast track a new passport, however it's my first adult one... It says I can't do this, but it doesn't make it clear to whether this means if it's my FIRST EVER passport and not an upgrade from a child one... If you get me.

    Can anyone help?

I'd imagine it would be about your first ever passport however to be sure I'd phone your local passport office ASAP.

I have an appointment tomorrow with them, they had no trouble booking me in for one, and I've only just received a booklet through the post telling me this now :/

3 weeks, my nanna decided to book a holiday and take me along without checking that I could come first. It was sweet of her, but it's annoying The waiting list for a normal passport is about 6 weeks, I asked when I rang up :/ You can travel to Jersey with a UK driving license, however they're really strict with this, and on my photo I have short, gelled up hair... Obviously not looking anything like my hair now :/

If you pay more you can get a fast tracked one so not to worry?

Yeah, this is what I'm doing, but it's saying I can't if it's my first adult passport

The table says "Fast track: Not if it's your FIRST adult passport"

I'm unsure weather this means I can't fast tract because it;s my first adult passport

Or I can because I'm upgrading from a child passport

First adult passport would mean your first passport that lasts 10 years, otherwise it would say first passport.

So I don't think it can be fast tracked.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure. Looking online has conflicting things. You definitely can't get your passport fast tracked if it's your first passport ever and you're over 16.

But it says you can simply renew your passport (even if that's going from a child to an adult) if you've already got one of any type, and that can be fast tracked.

I think you're fine. It can be fast tracked.

Ouch at the £100 fee though.

@lRhyss; it might be different in the UK but in Ireland you can go to the post office and pay like €7.00 for this magic envelope which will have your passport back in ten days. Obviously you need to pay the price of the passport too.

    Where are you flying too?
