    Default Uglies Series

Has anyone read all of these?

I loved the first one and I'm about halfway through the second one and it's dragging so much, such a disappointment . I have this thing where I can't just leave a book unfinished, regardless of how boring it is so I find myself just forcing myself to read it just to get it over with

Aaaah I fully love these books! I've read the first three, quite a while ago. I've been meaning to buy the series for a while to re-read them! Really clever and althought they're so sci-fi-y they're actually quite clever social commentaries. Fab books.

It's based in a word where, once you turn 16, you are turned "pretty" through cosmetic surgery, so they give you big eyes, perfect skin and everything else that a "perfect" human being is supposed to have. It's about a girl who decides she doesn't want to turn into a Pretty because she realises it changes more than just how you look.

I can't really explain it more than that without giving too much away, sorry! First book was worth a read anyway, I'd recommend reading it .

Did you find the second book a bit 'not so exciting' as the first? I'm not sure whether to finish reading the series or not

Never heard of them, but thanks for the heads up were I ever to come across them.

Like you, I can't leave a book unfinished - so it's a huge pain if it drags.

They all sort of blur into one tbh, I wouldn't be able to draw a definite line between where each one starts! I definitely know I couldn't put ANY of them down though
