    Default Is Dogecoin worth it?

Do you think that trying to collect Doge coin at this point in time would be worth it? I am a very busy bitcoin user, and a ton of people are telling me that I need to use Doge coin and that sometime soon they will raise like crazy in value and I will become 'rich'. I have 8 doge coins, and I honestly think it might crumble rather than grow... Opinions?

    no idea

you're asking for financial advice about a very obscure digital currency on a habbo based forum

these digital currencies are so volatile when they're new so it's hard to say

i'd say visit forums based around this stuff

Absolutely no chance, from the offset they decided that hyperinflation was the best way to get the currency running and it's based around a miniscule community of people so dense that they find the doge meme hilarious and are willing to pay for the privilege of sounding ridiculous while holding a currency no-one accepts. It boasts no bonuses of any sort over BTC/LTC and there's no market for extra cryptocurrencies because the ones that are in main use are as good as they can be. If you're already involved in bitmining or whatever other trading in that you're better off just sticking with the big boys, maybe keep those 8 if it's expendable and call it a loss at that when it all falls apart

Actually it has one big use in that it's basically worthless, the result being that it's very useful for tipping kind of gestures.

Thanks for this helpful message. I never got into mining bitcoins, running off of faucets. Never got big with it. I think i will just wait and see where Doge coin goes before i get into it very much.

    Thanks!

IThe picture above is all that Dogecoin reminds me of.

It seems a bit silly and I think someone might be messing with you so I would stay with BitCoin, from what I've been looking at in the news it seems to be the norm for online currency. I've not even used BitCoin myself, I don't really understand how it's used and not sure how secure it is. Will be sticking to real money and the banks.

I wouldn't touch virtual currency in general myself but that's just me. I don't know a lot about Bitcoin but after hearing that one of the biggest exchanges shutdown after discovering lots of bitcoins had been stolen it was enough to put me off. I understand why people use it I gather it's a lot more secretive but that comes at a price, the price being regulation.
